City Sidewalk LLC is a public service company dedicated to improving pedestrian safety and ensuring ADA compliance. For over 20 years, our mission has been to provide affordable, practical, and effective solutions to eliminate sidewalk trip hazards, consistently exceeding the standards outlined in ADA Section 405. Our efforts help municipalities proactively address trip hazards, maintain compliance, ensure safe pedestrian access, and reduce liability.

Area Assessments

We understand that municipalities often lack the resources and expertise to perform comprehensive sidewalk assessments.

Our Solution:

We provide a no-cost, detailed site survey. Our written assessment identifies the exact location of all sidewalk trip hazards within a specified area, including repairable hazards and sidewalks requiring segmental replacement.

Repair of Sidewalk Trip Hazards

Our Solution:

We adhere to ADA and HUD quality standards for sloping and slip-free surfaces. Key guidelines include:

Trip Hazard Definition: ADA Section 405 defines trip hazards as concrete upheavals of 1/4” or more; HUD guidelines apply to upheavals of 1/2” or greater.

Sloping Requirements: A slope of 12 inches for every inch of elevation difference.

Slip-Free Surface: Grooving for water drainage and improved traction.
